So I was today years old, when I learned that by using the phrase editor, and the sample selecction option beneath the phrase editor I could chromatically pitch individual samples in an instrument, even if the note range of each sample was one note.
This entire time I had been assigning one measly kick or snare to its own instrument. Just for the sake of having the option to pitch every drum sound across the entire key range. I’ve had Renoise for over three years, and I’m just learning this. I’m such an idiot.
. Also, if beatsync is applied to an individual sample in the instrument, a chromatically pitched sample in the phrases will still maintain its beatsync!
