Plugin Grabber And Hardware

Is there any reason plug-in grabber can’t do the same to external hardware synths ?
If not, I’d like to suggest it should be able to.
( I guess it would have to change it’s name to “instrument grabber” or something )

Try Extreme Sample Converter app. It grabs hardware.

Now do this one :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Is it possible now?

Alternatively, is the Renoise API sufficiently advanced that someone could implement this as a tool?

Didn’t someone do this already a couple years back? I thought there was a hardware “plugin grabber” tool… Idk, I’m so firmly in the box that I didn’t pay it much heed

Anyone else remember if that’s so?

Yeah, I use this one. Works really well.

I do wish it got rid of silences at the end of samples the way it (mostly) does from the start though - I’ve literally sat for hours trimming the ends of multisamples before! Could never figure out a quicker way since extracting the wavs, automating some external program to trim them then putting them back in an instrument container didn’t work as expected.

It’d be a cool thing to have natively, for sure.

That’s the one! Thanks for linking it

Check out the dbatch process tool for Sox integration, it has a trim silences process. Cdp for lua may as well (I forget)

Oh. Somehow never seen that. Cheers.

Cheers, I remember trying dbatchprocess as well and not having any luck but I can’t remember why now! Could’ve been user error I guess - I’ll give it another go next time.
