Plugin List File Location

Hi!

Long time no see
I have been looking for the location where Renoise stores the plugin list.

I’ve spent hours organizing Instruments and effects (yeah, I have a lot of them…) on my Mac Mini. Now I wanted to just copy everything to the MacBook but I just can’t find anything.

I mean, it has to be stored somewhere?

Hope somebody can help

U cant do that! Only if you clone old mac to the new!

But you just need to hit the rescan inside renoise

If you mean organizing within Renoise (like making groups and such), this information is stored in the plugin cache databases that live in ~/Library/Preferences/Renoise/V3.5.4 (or whatever version you use).

If you have all the same plugins installed on your new computer, you might be able to copy over the databases (while Renoise is closed, of course). There are separate ones for each plugin type. As an example, the VST3 one is called CachedVST3s_x64.db.

If anything goes terribly wrong on your new computer you can just delete those files and rescan, it’s not a big deal.

That worked! Thanks!

It’s actually not a new computer, it’s my old MacBook M1 (I’m using both, one for “Heavy Duty”and the other for mobility. I have all plugins installed on both  )

It’s just because I’ve spent hours organizing everything in categories on the Mini and didn’t really want to repeat all that again on the laptop.

Thanks again
