Podcast Hosting...

Hi,

I am in the process of completing the first few episodes of my own podcast.

I want to host it myself, from my computer. I have the new KDDI 1gb connection and my computers are on 24/7, so bandwidth etc are no issue.

I wanted to know if any of you guys knew what I had to do to get this working.

The questions I have are;

  1. How do I set up my computer as a host for this?

  2. How do I get my completed podcast into iTunes store for download (of course, it will be free)

Any help would be great!!

Thanks.

So, you want to setup a LAMP-Environment at home? Quite easy, read a lot of Docs concerning apache and php-security for public accessible servers. Install apache, mysql, php and then setup a document-root-path where you have to install a standard-blog-software like loudblog…

With windows it’s just getting wampserver, installing it and then installing loudblog there.

Of course you need a static IP. Register a domain for that Ip.

To publish on iTunes, check this: http://support.apple.com/kb/TA23478?viewlocale=en_US
