I played around with Bitwig for a while, and the single most impressive thing for me was a feature of their FX chains; with each device added to the chain, you can select whether it processes the entire output of the previous device or only (a selectable amount of) the ‘wet’ output of the previous device. For instance, you might set up a delay followed by a distortion, where only the delayed signal gets distorted while the original stays dry. Of course, we can do this already with sends, but how much quicker and more elegant to do it within the FX chain. It’s something I’d use a lot for sure.
maybe if the sampler had the ability to have duplicate DSP sections.
not sure. sounds like it could be tricky. be nice to keep it within a sampler instrument.
