Pre-Count

Hi

Can’t realize it’s a bug or not… Pre-count options don’t work. It’s start recording immediately when i hit the Space Bar. All options for pre-count are enabled.

Mate, i did it!

  1. Metronome is ON

  2. Precount Enabled

  3. Global Record is ON

  4. I’m in Pattern Editor

No matter what precount duration is… It just don’t work.

UPDATE:

Don’t know why nothing about it in manual (or i can’t find it) but also you need to Turn On “Pattern Follow Mode”.

Whether you have precount enabled or not, Pattern Follow is always required when recording a sequence of notes played live.

If you check the page for Recording and Editing Notes, it’s the first thing mentioned in the Live Recording section.

Searching the manual/wiki for “precount” will also take you to that page.

However, it could perhaps be made more obvious, either with some better keywords on the wiki, some more info/tooltips in Renoise itself, or something like that.
