Hello everyone.
I downloaded Renoise 2.5.1 Demo and tried rewire with Reason 4.0.
I get following message in Renoise:
Failed to open the ReWire device 'Reason' (Error: 666)
It is probably already in use by another application
How is that possible? I only start Reason, wait until loaded and then i start Renoise Demo and chose ReWire In Device -> Reason…
The ReWire device is a “master” device, this means that Reason has to be opened by Renoise through it.
If you want to slave Renoise to Reason, you have to call Renoise up from within Reason (browse the Reason manual for how to instantiate the other host as a slave host).
Renoise should then detect another ReWire master active and should offer you to start Renoise in Slave mode.
