hEY YALL…bought quadrasid a few months ago but never really understood how to set up patches properly. ive read the manual through a few times…
does anyone know how to get different sounds from each channel of each sid chip,i cant do it. its something to do with midi channels but i dont really understand. any help with this will be truly appreciated/ or point me in the direction of an existing “quadrasid in renoise” tutorial?

You need to use instrument aliases.
You have your main instance of QuadraSID loaded in an instrument slot. Then in other instrument slots you create aliases of the main instrument, and tell each alias to output to a different MIDI channel.
SID1 responds to channels 1, 2, 3 and 4.
SID2 responds to channels 5, 6, 7 and 8.
SID3 responds to channels 9, 10, 11 and 12.
SID4 responds to channels 13, 14, 15 and 16.

Just realised the first screenshot is a bit wrong. I had instrument 01 highlighted when it should have been instrument 00. Anyway, hopefully you get the idea
