Am I right in thinking when you save a sample based instrument file, the samples are saved within the xrni file? So if I change the original sample used in the instrument, I need to re-load it into the actual instrument in order to update it?
yes, the XRNI file contains a local copy of the sample which will not be affected by changing of the original fil einto an external editor
