Randomize Is Dead....why?

Hi I don’t quite understand the randomize function,

when I select a area in the pattern and then right click/selection/randomize (ALT F7)
nothing happens…

  1. nothing happens when i execute the randomize function…why?

  2. what is randomize suppose to do? (does it randomize the notes)

PS. I cant find it in the tutorial…

Randomize can randomize effect parameters and volume/panning codes. It won’t randomize notes.
