Randomizing Won't Work?

I am trying to use the randomize function in Renoise 1.9, but it doesn’t appear to do anything. What am I missing?

the randomize function does not randomize note data, if this is what you are looking for.

try adding some commands, like this:

  
C-4 01 40 0900

and see the randomization of the command values
