Real names of amps/cabinets in Cabinet Simulator

Hello everyone,

I recently started using Renoise’s Cabinet Simulator with my guitar much more than other software amp sims or real hardware, mostly because it sounds really good and is simple at the same time - also already well integrated into my DAW of choice.

I’m, however, curious what real life amps/cabinets are being simulated (i.e. what IRs are being used by the cab sim).

Some are of course easier to figure out than others (Marsh being Marshall obviously, Black Twin/Deluxe probably Fender).

Here’s the full list of available cabinets in Renoise:
All Classic
Black Deluxe
Black Twin
Boro Jazz
Del DG-10
Event Off-Axis
Tweed Deluxe
Graft Bass
Highway 100
Lin Vintage
Pod 4x12
Flextone Crunch
Mans Deluxe
Marsh Off-Axis
Marsh ST 70
Rand Clean
Amp Direct
Breakdown

I couldn’t find any further information on this, so I guess there is no comprehensive list. The reason why renoise uses made-up names is probably a trademark issue or something. Any good guesses by some of you who are more knowledgeable than me in the world of guitar amps and cabinets what’s behind those names?

My guesses:

Black Deluxe
Black Twin

Fender, as you said

Del DG-10

Probably a Taylor 10"…

Event Off-Axis

A PWE?

Tweed Deluxe

A Vox of some kind.

Highway 100

A Hywatt…

Pod 4x12

A Line 6 Pod…

Flextone Crunch

A Line 6 Flextone

Mans Deluxe

Another Fender Deluxe? Or a Music Man? I have a Music Man that is similar to a Fender Deluxe

Marsh Off-Axis
Marsh ST 70

Marshalls as you said

Rand Clean

Randall

My guess is that Lin Vintage, Amp Direct, and Breakdown could just be any type of amp with the qualities described in their names, not specific to anything in particular. I wonder if Boro Jazz is supposed to be the JC-120, but the name doesn’t correlate. I have no idea what Graft Bass is.
