Recommendations for good combinator plugins

Hi All,

I currently use patchworks by blue cat audio but i find it very buggy and it crashes a lot.

Anyone out there have any experience with any other combinator plugs?

Yeaaa… Have used most of what is out there, i too have patchworks but don’t find it that exciting, it’s like old Xlutop Chainer but with less useful features, I still use Xlutop but prefer one’s that have machine-view hookup…

VSTForX is pretty good, I use in a number of hosts… It was once commercial but set free so it’s pretty ‘tight’… One can hook VST params to MIDI controller & vice-versa within it… It’s on the ‘Werckmeister’ guys page 32/64 or MAC-

Here is used in BeRoTracker-

Also there’s Acon Digital Effect Chainer but it’s just Win32 (but that’s what I use 32bit) you can stack VST or DX or combination of… It’s just straight stacker-

Also in BeRoTracker-

That’s free too as well as this one - Image-Line MiniHost Modular, Win32 from like 2014… It’s like VSTForX as it’s machine-view hookup-

SVAr-Min-Host-Mod

Works great inside SVArTracker, SequentialVibes & other… Great to convert trackers that just have VST params to MIDI controller functions like the bastard pitch bend, modwheel or other…

This was freeware but required signup at their forum, I got this from somebody else at the time & only recently re-discovered it… I have uploaded to archive.organism-

Maybe that will help out… There’s more though…

Thanks,dude,there’s a lot there,I’ll have a look through :+1:

Hopefully it helps… Might as well add more whilst I’m here…

There’s also DDMF Metaplugin which is commercial… It’s pretty good sorta works like Image-Line MiniHost Modular-

But seriously the best would probably be just forking out cash for Plogue Bidule which installs as standalone, VSTi & VST with as many ins/outs as you would want plus it does a host of tricky cool that renoise can’t & vice-versa so perfect combo to use right in renoise…

Forgot to mention there is another use for VSTForX that virtually nobody knows of… Some want to stream audio from one DAW to another in realtime but latency is a problem… Well with VSTForX you set it up ‘receiving’ in whatever DAW then you place the ‘Remote Channel Sender’ DLL in the DAW you want to transmit from… Then back in VSTForX you RT-Clik ‘Modify Scene’ then you will see where it will detect any open instance of RCS-

Connection is thusly made & near zero latency!… Way better than reastream or streamboy or other ‘high latency’ alternatives & amazingly most don’t even know the existence of this system… The issue is the Remote Channel Sender has not made it to the new site from the old but is still on the former site so here are the links for the 3 different versions of VSTForX-

For the 32bit users there is also the old non-expiring beta of Phrazor… It comes as installer but is actually quite portable you can install to a plugin folder then copy to others all independent operation on same machine with relative path lookups… This beta is quite stable & plugin scanning is very good plus the VSTi/VST version runs in damn near anything… I use it in Skale Tracker no problem, I then can run VSTi that won’t run in many more modern hosts & inside Skale… Like Acrobatics EGO Pad-

Skale doesn’t have tempo sync but I just match BPM in Phrazor… If you got tempo sync then no issue it will sync automatically… One of the finest pieces of code ever written, Phrazor is quite deep… HERE-
