Recommended Freeware Vst-plugins

Couture, is a pretty useful new transient designer. The free version just misses the saturation options:

Phazor, based on Virus phasers:

https://www.adamszabo.com/phazor/

Betabugs PhaseBug: Continuous phase adjuster.

Only 32bits Windows, and seems quite a rare but useful utility. (Similar to some functionality in Voxengos payware PHA-979). Gives you much more control than the more common and simple phase flip switch.

Great for drum layering and dealing with phase cancellations, particularly with low frequencies in kicks:

Mono version included or you can macro the stereo version controls in a doofer:

A nice little youtube video explaining the issue, but using sample offsets to solve the same problem:

Necro bump for this thread, so I don’t have to keep going back through my archives and everyone still loves Freeware, even if some of it is 11 years old now; it’s still fun to play with :sunny:

A new free EQ from Fuse Audio:

Also just found they have a very stripped down version of their reverb plug. Could be useful on a send with some extra EQ/ processing:

Not sure, if already mentioned, but the Dragonfly Reverb 2.94 seems to be a damn good crossplatform reverb for free, also macos:

Also Surge 1.66 (nightly so far) is online, now providing FM for all types of OSCs, and a bunch of workflow improvements:
