I wonder if anyone here has an opinion re: Redline Monitor, the little VST effect that (if placed on the Master channel) simulates near-field monitors for those who work mostly with headphones:

What other good emulations/simulations exist on the market to check out?

Sounds to me that with a combination of stereo expander and amplitude mixing on the master channel, you could obtain a similar or the same effect by using that plugin.
The most simple way to test it is by simply just try making a master chain and A/B compare the result to the plugin output. (either render a waveform and pull this through an offline spectrum analyzer or use an online spectrum analyzer)
