Redux DLL file openen in windows problem

i downloaded redux demo to try out, i only have windows and i already found out that i have on my c drive VstPlugins folder there i have placed the whole program redux to open the DLL file but then i get a warning from windows that it can damage other directories i do have an option to use a directory to choose which one should i use to make the program redux work so i can try it out please advice

I tried to open the dll folder but the ma has changed but it says in text that it is another dll folder I really don’t know what to do anymore

I really can’t agree with a Redux demo that can’t be installed directly in windows yet, I want to try the demo first and then buy it

before jumping to the conclusions i think you need to sort some things out in the first place…

in which DAW are you trying to open Redux (and which format)?

I have the dll file on the c drive at pragram (86) and it says VSTplugins, I had read on the internet that you can open it then but windows warns me of danger and I can choose a folder I really don’t know which folder for a dll file in windows is needed for Redux, I also watched youtube it may be very simple but sometimes they are so simple that I don’t understand that, that’s the crazy thing

ok, (i can only guess):

  1. you’ve got installed Redux as VST plugin (copy .dll to VST path)
  2. to use Redux (VST plugin), you need a DAW which can open plugin (Redux) - you cannot simply double-click the .dll file to open it… you need DAW to host plugins (Redux in this case)
  • which DAW are you using?
