Would love to see MIDI out from Redux.

Bump.

Only reason holding me back from purchasing Redux is the lack of MIDI outs.

Never gonna give you up.

PS: taktik I’ll be your personal buttler for a year if you implement MIDI-outs on Redux. I’ll do the laundry and dishes, drive you around, trim your garden, serve cocktails, etc. DM me if interested. As a bonus, I’ll bring a box full of brazilian bananas and guavas.

I’m joining the queue. I didn’t buy Redux or even try it because I use Renoise as my main daw, so Redux is useless in this sense, it would be like using Renoise inside Renoise, but for some time I’ve been wanting to use Redux in FL and I took it for granted that it had a midi output, reading these things stops me from buying Redux.

My main goal is to use Redux inside Reaper, as it’s my favorite DAW aside from Renoise (which I already own).

If Redux had MIDI outs, I could use VST synths with excellent performance in Reaper… It would solve pretty much all the problems I currently have with Renoise regarding CPU usage.

Have you tried Hackey Trackey for Reaper? I keep meaning to.

Yep I recently tried it. It now has a built-in sampler, very simple but quite useful.

It’s fun but not as useful as an actual tracker, unfortunately

It keeps growing from time to time, though, so let’s see!

Usually not making promises, but I’ll do my best to get MIDI out added to the next Redux update. It’s a pretty obvious thing and a low hanging fruit…

I would hang a photo of you next to my mother above the fireplace, and tell the kids stories about how you gave humanity endless wonders in even the bleakest of moments.

Downloaded the Redux demo hoping it would have specifically this feature, because I’ve recently been spending a lot of time monkeying around with Max/MSP, which while otherwise great, its native solutions for entering music compositions are utterly lacking (“just use multislider, bro”). I thought I saw a tracker interface in Redux’s marketing video but I guess that was just the phrase editor. Having a familiar UI, being the Renoise-like tracker+sequencer interface, in the Redux VST which would output MIDI events that Max/MSP can capture for its own processing, would be absolute bliss.

Being that Redux was the plugin that led me to Renoise and subsequently the best music I ever made. I still have it and for quite some time I used that bad boy in FL, Live, Phrazor, EnergyXT(jbridge) before fully hopping on the Renoise train.

That being said, much like Renoise it’s IMO technically the best .wav sampler out there so +1 for midi out. Even it is just sentimental

Guess i’m that guy asking for more. :innocent:

Would it be hard to port into Renoise so i can record the output of midi plugins without loopback drivers, assuming this is a somewhat similar task? Adding midi out to hosted midi plugins.
