How about that every VST plugin saves it’s visual state (open/closed, x/y position on screen, z-depth…) every time a module is being saved?
For me, it would be kickass to be able to instantly access the VST windows after loading. And X/Y position could also help to organize things (does anybody use a dual-screen setup?)
even though it will make the song data within the xrns even bigger, i’d second that notion as i think it would be quite useful/handy.

well, you would have to use a ridicolous amount of plugins for the size to increase by just a single kilobyte. And, to take it to the extreme, I imagine that if you were participating in a chiptune compo, it wouldn’t even add anything to the song.xml, since no vst’s were used.
Sounds like a good addition to me.
