It would be great if render selection to sample worked for midi controlled outboard synths coming back through midi return! especially for linux users!
Great suggestion, don’t think it has ever been mentioned here before 
It has been suggested before. You can use the sample editor to record the sample in sync with pattern, but it’s a workaround.
My +1 for the idea anyway.
