Great! wasn’t expecting this at all so soon! OSC and midifeedback oooh! Autoseek!!! Changes EVERYTHING!!! Scripting!!! Linux 64bit!!! This is the biggest release as far as I’m concerned!!!
Ok back to work!
Thanks devs!
I found that renoise reduces volume, while rendering selection to sample. I use this render a lot and it become a little annoying to increase the volume every time.
Also I found another 2-years old post on the forum, where this problem was discussed:
So what about a button in options menu, that disables this function? In the stable 2.6 version?
D’oh… my bad. I set up a Yahoo pipe looking for new threads with Taktik as the originator… except, I used the RSS that pulls new posts instead of threads … I’ll just kill that now
great great work: !AUTOSEEK! - very long time I/we had to wait for this feature and now it is there. fantastique;
!script! - endless possibilities, what a great job!
I had to upgrade my renoise but it was no question to do this;
And my Virus Ti2 now works like a charm (At least in my early tests).
It syncs real nice and the lag is MUCH improved. I don’t feel any real difference with the LIVE button activated, it almost feels as responsive as a normal VSTi.
Holy Mother! - I just downloaded 2.6b3.
This update (esp ‘Autoseek’) ROCKS!
LUA goes all above my head at the moment. What a powerful, POWERFUL tool Renoise is already and now has been taken to the next level with scripting. WOW! This is a killer. I can’t get anything besides ‘Hello World’ to work though LOL Gettin’ there…
Yes! 64bit Linux version! It works beautifully too. Thank you so much, Renoise developers, I knew you wouldn’t let me down! Now I can finally write my masterwork. You guys rule!
just upgraded my license so i can check out 2.6, and i must say im glad i did.
its no exaggeration - autoseek is excellent and answers an old issue with renoise in a most graceful way
scripting looks cool and i may check all that out one day… but just gonna make beats for now…
as ever props to the devs for more outstanding work!
oh yeah and big up for making this G5 PPC compatible … yes there still are people out there whos computers are old but still capable of making beats…
seems recently everything i own i cannot upgrade due to everyone dropping their support for G5 PPC equipped macs… all NI plugs are intel only now, logic pro, reason 5 etc. i know it has to happen sooner or later, and it doesnt really matter anyway, as it still all works and i can still make beats… but its nice to see that i can continue to use the latest renoise yay!
