 fantastic update! thanks so much!

coool… but!

completely dropped ReWire??? just why?!!! It was working perfectly fine with latest Reaper.
can not now properly link Renoise and Reaper together!!
ReaRoute asio sends/receives sound, ok but!..
Ableton Link (using ReaBlink in Reaper) just syncs Play/Stop but it doesn’t sync transport! And it’s very laggy

multi cpu performance also is about the same (bad!), nothing changed really…

Congrats for amazing, really amazing work! The biggest surprise is the tidal-inspired livecoding framework. Seriously: wow!

Yeah, a bit of a bummer. I fully understand why they dropped ReWire support (it’s deprecated software, after all) but I’m not sure if Ableton Link is a sufficient replacement… I’ll have to play around with it, but I get the sense I’ll wind up staying on 3.4.4.

Still, a very cool update for people who aren’t married to a decaying workflow. The Tidal Cycles scripting is extremely neat, and it’s great seeing Zensphere involved in official capacity!

Every time a new update to a tracker software appeared, it is like Christmas coming early.

Notepad and Midi Channel in Phrase means a lot in Orchestral Music because I no longer need to create a folder store a bunch of file with name about the delay time of each patch of the string and brass libraries which I can note my calculated delay time relative to the tempo in the current project. While Midi Channel in Phrase Editor basically enables a new way to switch articulations for Kontakt instrument, greatly reducing the number of instrument slots used for each articulations (However, I haven’t test it yet, but will do after downloaded a string library.)

Perhaps I will also try the Phrase Scripting Engine later, which might be good for writing ostinato for strings.

Updated: It does work as expected, I can switch articulations using the phrase editor! Finally, I can write some Epic Music on Renoise without creating a huge list of instruments.

Native MTS-ESP support? I sure hope I’m not dreaming…

Awesome Renoise and Redux releases, as well as the new site! Big thanks to all involved

Awesome update, although that demosong by @Jalex somehow produces some buffer underruns with my audio-interface. Will be checking out other USB-ports later. Maybe it’s because my interface is not good at running at USB3.0 or the interface itself sucks

runs well here, what audio driver are you using at what sample rate & buffersize?

Edit: It’s my setup. Switched USB-Port. Latency and XRUNS are much better now. But still existing, but I guess that’s because the UM2 is not perfectly optimized for linux.

anyone have issue w/redux for macOS not being compiled? the when unzipping the download i get files w/contents where i should have a component and a .vst3

edit: never mind. they appear as expected in DAW.

That’s what VST3s and AUs actually are. Maybe the Redux ones are missing some extra magic that makes Finder show them as single files, but they still work fine.

The MTS support works beautifully so far,i love the new look, the notepad and the splitter is amazing. The EQ is soooo much better. 10/10
