all I can say is that, yes, there is some update coming; id est: the team is actively working on it.
I believe in the next weeks taktik will shed some more light on what is going on, but don’t expect release dates.
I think our constant flood of feature requests might have something to do with it…

So the main task for the developers seem to be to come up with a new name for the next version.
Why keep Renoise as a name if there are beauties available such as:
- Reglitch
- Rename
- Rebase
- Rebleton
- Recable
- Reloop
- Regret
- Cropper
- Reckon
- Square
