Renoise doesn't start - blue screen

Hello, fellow renoise users.

I just decided to pick up making using with renoise again, but, it doesn’t seem to work. I install renoise (licensed version), i try to start it and i get a blue screen that says:

            "KMODE_EXEPTION_NOT_HANDLED"

             "What went wrong: clipsp.sys"

Then the pc reboots.

Seems strange, everything else seems to work fine on my pc, vst’s etc. I already tried re-installing the focusrite drivers, but that didn’t fix it.

My PC:

Intel core I5 4570
8GB Ram
MSI H81M-E34 (motherboard)
Scarlett focusrite 2i4

Anyone got any idea’s?

Thank you for the quick reply.

I seem to have already found the problem. It was Avast anti-virus.

When i removed it, the problem was gone. Ill look for a different anti-virus program.
