use ipad with hardware keyboard, might as well just use a netbook… better input method for touchscreen would be - use stylus to get to the place you want to edit, all possible commands for that position show on a bar on the screen, you choose. (see sunvox) very convenient way. capacitive touch screens dont have the accuracy, i think it would be better to use a stylus and d-pad…also ipad is chunky…would be good to use something more portable (motorolla atrix dual core maybe)…separate screen for each window with tabs (pattern editor, mixer, sample editor, scopes etc) tracking in this way is really not bad, slower than with a keyboard but O.K.
