Renoise is alive and sentient and does not like certain filenames

ive been making a track in renoise 3.2, migrated it to 3.5, first day it worked fine and everything loaded, but then renoise freaked the flip out and a soundfont player i was using was the only plugin that failed to load, it wasnt detected anymore.
The plugin was DSK SF2 and i have searched threads on here on how to fix such issues
Clearing the cache did not work, doing some other esoteric more complex way of clearing the cache did not work as well, tried to bridge the plugin to 64 bits using a bridger tool which ALSO did not work
Last ditch effort i try to rename the .dll to DSK SF3 because at that point i was just lost
IT WORKED, the machine spirit was appeased apparently
Which leads me to conclude that renoise is sentient and has preferences for file names

By clearing the caches, do you mean you deleted the relevant .db files?

To your main point, I think we have all seen glimpses of Renoise’s sentience at times. I’m glad someone has pointed it out. :upside_down_face:
