I think this makes no sense at all: If I wanna capture an external synth with specially set midi ccs, Renoise always sends a midi reset just before “render selection”, so midi cc values are initialized.
What is the purpose for this? Imo midi reset should be only sent, if it was asked for, like double clicking stop button.
Can you remove that? At least for midi instruments? Or add an option to disable midi reset?

BTW. This even happens after I added a midi control device and setup the midi ccs there. The midi reset still resets all values. Even if I add automation points to the first line!
