I’ve always had tons and tons of ‘sketches’ that never end up as full fledged songs, so I decided for each sketch, I’d at least have something longer than 5 seconds to listen to by recording me fiddling with the tracks and effects, etc.

The latest effort is a somewhat remix in progress of a tune originally created in pxtone…it’s also the first live track I did where I ‘solo’d’ on the pc keyboard (however simply it may be…tried to get a theramin type sound)…

At some point, some of these tracks may get turned into full, sweat-the-details, completely tracked tunes. We’ll see…

funkeh. that theramin was awesome heh.

for me the problem with recording jams inside renoise is that it keeps fairly simple because you cant trigger (multiple) patterns or adjust pattern length by pressing a key or anything like that. personally i wouldn’t mind if renoise would evolve into a more live oriented program. (with of course keeping the original concept alive)

keep on jamming it will always give you some ideas you could use later

I’d love to see some youtube vids or something of people jamming with renoise in the setup…
how do you manipulate beats on the fly?
