I prefer the rubberbandaid tool for most time stretching. Check it out, better quality, for sure

it has its purposes, but I prefer oldschool sample offset pattern command stretching and/or the akaizer tool;

The Sped Up Texture Mode one sure is imo. Sounds good to me.

Sadly this doesn’t work on modern macOS due to the binaries being 32-bit only. I end up having to use TAL-Sampler when I want that Akai sound (not such a bad thing though).

Fyi I don’t know if it has a mac version, but the Amigo sampler also has this kind of stretch effect.
