Resolution Of The Notes

You can combine the existing song-groove settings on top of using the delay commands and this for sure gives another twist to the groove.

But the only downside with the song-groove is that it’s global and unalterable from within the patterns (there are no patterncommands to control the global song-groove).

I don’t see this as a hack, its increasing the resolution nothing else.

For me the vsti’s keep the right tempo when I set the speed to 16.

However the only drawback is that the bpm only goes to 500, and at a speed of 16 the BPM has to be increased 2.7 times from a speed of 6.

So the highest BPM you can increase the resolution from 6 to 16 is 185.
Or a BPM of 500 at speed 16 is the same as a BPM of 185 at a speed of 6.

At a speed of 4 increased to 16 the highest BPM is 125.
Or a BPM of 500 at speed 16 equals BPM of 125 at a speed of 4.

At a speed of 3 increased to 16 the highest BPM that can be increased from is 94.

So it would be nice if Tactic could just increase the maximum BPM allowed.

This also gives me an idea for another thing that could be nice.

Renoise could recalculate the BPM (in the background) so if you increase the resolution from 6 with a BPM of 125 to 16. It would play the song with the same tempo but with the new resolution. So it would in background play the song with a BPM of 333 (2,66*125=333). But not show the new 333 BPM but the correct BPM of 125.

I think this would be a first step of increasing the resolution in Renoise.

good ideas splajn! hope taktik will do that, it shouldnt be so hard i think :)
