I had no idea that the MAx runtime was free. Does this mean you can run any existing Max patch without actually owning Max? Blimey.
Also, your patch has something called a “Surprise Butler”. I have no idea what it does, but: lol.
you might need to build patches to use them with the runtime. not sure though.
you can run any patch which is compiled as a collective, yes. what you can’t do is edit or build patches, but if the patch is finished and useable you shouldn’t need to in order to use it.
just a quick addition to this thread 'cause i got the application version working now, so you can just install this and use it without the need for max5 runtime (it is all included!):
is there supposed to be a *.xrns template included in that zip? i couldn’t see one…
oops, must have forgotton to include it when i updated the patch. looks like i forgot to include the instructions pdf too (although you don’t really need that because its embedded in the patch anyway).
anyway i’ve also uploaded the xrns template here individually:
