a renoise way to achieve round robin could be to have a random way to trigger every set in the instrument tab
what do you think of this ?

What is this round robin in audio application?
Thanatos - what are we talking about here, modulation sets or something else?

Round robin, generally speaking - cycle through a number of results, each time condition X is met.
In Renoise/audio terminology, a stack of samples in the keyzone which are cycled through when they overlap each other.
+1 for this. if possible with different playback methods: forward, backward, random, random with weight…
and a way to add weights to note layers for the last method.
This would make renoise even more suited as a drum machine replacement (esp. with redux)
edit: i don’t know if OP wants round robin on instrument level, i’m talking about ‘assign 3 hihats to C4 and cycle through them’

You can already do that. Stack the samples on the same note, and then at the bottom of the keyzone editor there is a dropdown menu that switches between “play all,” “random,” and “cycle”.
