I think I took a big step forward, but I still feel like I’m coming in last on production/mastering compared to pretty much everyone else here.
Any advice on what I’m doing right and wrong would be appreciated.

Seems like you’re more a technician than a musician so my advice is find a melodist to work with.

Writing interesting melodies is always something I struggle with.

Thanks a lot . I have trouble hearing the song as a whole instead of individual tracks, so sometimes I’m not sure if it actually sounds the way I want it to.
