When I press f4 it takes about 2 seconds to get to the sample editor.
when clicking the tabs, it comes instantly.
I don’t experience this on my laptop though.
any of you have the same? and maybe an explanation?
F4 doesn’t necessarily open sample editor (you can customize it), it is set to open the sample editor along with upper and lower frames by default. Maybe you have different global view presets on your laptop and PC? Yet, it can’t be a good reason for the delay you’re speaking of. Set for any global view, F1 through F7 respond instantly on my PC.
F4 also switches the diskbrowser to the sample category by default, which can be slow when the set up directory contains lots of samples/folders.
You can avoid this by selecting the songs category again, then replacing the default F4 screen (right click on the 4 on the top right of the interface), so the doskbrowser wont update at all.
