Sample not tracking the keyboard

Hi,
it is possible to have a sample that not track the keyboard?
because with the overlap option in keyzones set to cycle, you can recreate
korg wavestation sound, but if you want some drum sound inside you need to disable keytracking only for these sample!
and there will be an option that restart from the first sample each new note!
and another that play only one sample at a time if you play chord! (sample sample for all note in the chord)
Thanks

Yes indeed, this would be a very useful feature. There’s already a few threads about such a thing, but since there’s no actual name to describe it, it’s kind of hard to search for isn’t it =)

Couldn’t you simply just assign those samples to another FX chain with no key tracker in it? I’m clearly missing something here as i’m not shure what you mean with the restart option, can’t you do all this with phrases?
Are you perhaps talking about switching phrases with pattern effect commands or something to be able to have different phrases on one key? I’d like that too. ;)

duhhh that’s exactly what the “beatsync” setting does :D !!! (though it takes a bit of fumbling around to find the right pitch)

i aer stipud

There’s a couple of ways to do this:

Create a pitch modulation, which uses the keytracking features of beta 3

Demo of (2) attached, note that the sample is transposed -12 semitones to get it approximately the original pitch.
