Sample Set/Keyzone Import

One place I’m really struggling with Renoise’s sampler is in importing previously created sample keyzones. There doesn’t seem to be a way to do this that I have found. You can only import entire instruments which overwrite your current instrument. If I sample a bunch of synth waveforms or sounds and map them out, I’d like to be able to easily pop them into a new set for layering. This makes it really easy to do sampling synthesis with basically any set you’ve previously created. That way I can just try out different sets/previously created keyzones like any oscillator, like using a rompler. Currently I have to use other samplers to do this and I don’t like that since Renoise is still my musical home.

Not too clear on what your after, or what a ‘set’ is, but there is SFZ support (Save/Import/Export) for keyzone.

I’m looking to do that but with multiple SFZ files without overwriting the current one, layering them. Sets are in the modulation section, different layers that allow for completely different panning, filter, volume, etc. modulation. Basically a way to create complex sounds akin to a COMBI in a Korg, or like Programs/Layers in an AKAI. I’d like to be able to load up two (or more) multi-sampled waveforms on the same track for doing synthesis. i.e. I create a multi-sampled waveform, do all the keyzone stuff, save it as an SFZ, then be able to load that on top of an existing sound whenever I need it, either in the same set or in a new one within the instrument. I’d be fine with just importing multiple SFZ files onto the same instrument, it’d at least give me a start on doing stuff with my library.
