Sorry guys…I know DUMB question but I couldn’t find it in the Manual - How do you play the sample from where you want in the sampler window? mines keeps playing from the start?
Middle click or use a slice marker for previewing.
Might i also add that no question is “dumb” particularly when learning. A question is how one finds an answer. 
Usually I just press RETURN - this will play the selected range (if any), or from the marker.
Check out Preferences > Keys > Sample Editor > Playback > Play Selection
