Ok, so yesterday I turned on my laptop and realized that a column of pixels on my screen went out on me. It’s a yellowish white line about 1 or 2 pixels wide. It’s off to the side so it’s not that bad, but it still sucks.
1 - How did this happen? I’m guessing that there’s no way of fixing this.
2 - How can I prevent this from happening to the rest of my screen?
I have some Psion PDAs (a Siena, an 3a, 3c, 3mx, a Revo and an 5mx) and they all have one thing in common: their connection cable to the screen tend to break easily. Once the cable breaks one gets exactly what you are describing over there
What I want to say: your screen might be just fine, just the cable that connects the actual computer to the screen might be broken due to often opening and closing the case of the laptop.
