i’d like an option for it to follow the patterns without rolling the lines. i’m trying to follow a fast one over a few sections and it’s killing me…. if there’s an option/tool for it i can’t find it so any help appreciated….
be well all…

Toggle Pattern Follow mode? See here: Transport Panel - Renoise User Manual
no friend, i would likes the behavior when scroll is off and just auto-change the pattern that runs in the playlist., like a page turner…
Don’t think that’s possible or scriptable.
thank you for telling me, be well ![]()

what do you mean not scriptable? sure, this can be done. it would need to be a mode. i’ll have a think and a look about it.
@archovoid - this can be done. i’m now looking at how to script it. based on what i’ve already been writing into my tool Paketti, i feel like this would be really easy to do.
@archovoid - ok, on Releases · esaruoho/paketti · GitHub there’s a new build which has this:
when you turn “Follow Page Pattern Toggle” on, then during playback, it’ll take you to the pattern the playback is on, without tracing the lines.
enjoy.
Hi !, can you make a tiny video about this ?
Thanks a lot
sure @Circe
thank you very much for the work! i sincerely hope it makes sense to others too, as a way to monitor complicated stuff that need our eyes allover the place…..
I don’t understand. Isn’t this the native behavior? The selected pattern switches the same as the played pattern with scrolling disabled. At least it does for me.
natively it’s persisting on the edited pattern, otherwise it does the lines dancing ![]()
Disable preferences / GUI / Pattern sequencer / Separate edit & play positions (with pattern follow disabled)
hahahaha my embarassment only overturns my penile disfunction, but given i was fuming and looking for it eeee i give my anxst props too… ![]()
To be fair, it’s the option in Renoise that causes the most head-scratching.
imagine the pukes, having read the manual a good 10 times, needing it to stop scrolling and not being able to find the faky option cause everything’s turned to shit ![]()
I like having two flavors for this ![]()
