Second Window / Split Screen

It would be awesome if the pattern view/tracker view/mixer view could be disconnected as a window and set to another display. I know you can drag the complete window, but I’m working with multiple monitors with different resolutions, so that won’t work nicely.

Crossed fingers this would be possible!

as far as i’m aware, you can already detach mixer and sampler, from the tracker sequencer… pattern view cannot be detached, but i personally would not de-couple it from the sequencer…

?

Yeah you can detach some parts of GUI but if you use different screen resolutions like display 1 is hdpi and second one is 72 dpi you get one of them blurred so this feature becomes unusable. For example Bitwig redraws all of its GUI according to screen settings and everything looks fine. But Renoise behaves itself strange on win10, for example it looks ok on my laptop hdpi display and looks totally blurred on connected 72 dpi display and if you’ll try to maximize Renoise window — this will hide some parts of it.

So i have to stick to only one laptop display (wich is pretty tiresome sometimes)

Ah nice! I rather have the pattern view detached, so i can have 1 screen with the patterns/songmode and the other with the tracking.

did you try disabling the windows hdi re-scale feature ? you could scale the UI inside renoise to your taste. I had various issues with vsts and the windows scaling enabled.
