Send a midi note to plugin on different channel

Hi,

I bought the cableguys shaperbox plugin. Which has lfo’s that can be triggered by a midi note.

How can I send a note from track01 as midi note to the shaperbox plugin on the track02.

I’ve tried the key tracker and velocity tracker, but it didn’t work out (yet).

You should be able to use a plugin effect alias for this.

Select (or create) an instrument that will act as your trigger.

Pop open the instrument’s plugin list, and at the top you should see the “FX Alias” group.

Any active plugin effects that are capable of receiving MIDI events should appear there.

Simply pick the effect you wish to control, and now any notes from that instrument will be sent to the effect.

How would I make such instrument? Can I just use an empty instrument and type notes on behalf the ‘empty’ instrument?

It works man, thanks a lot! This time I really thought I was expecting to much of Renoise, I even started up Ableton and stared at it for a moment. Terrible :smiley:
