It would have been nice if programs would be linked into the sample-slots instead of instrument-slot only (and this would enable multitimbrality).
But i don’t know how hard that is…
I would also like the idea of expanding the amount of sample slots…
I have sample-sets that require up to over 32 sampleslots in ocassions. (This means i have to assign three instrument slots to devide one complete instrument’s samples) Drives me nutts sometimes…
Yes, I have just heard bad things about Terratecs drivers. And DMX 6Fire are built on the same chipset as the Audiophile, that means that the biggest different between the cards are the drivers wich in my opinion also means that as long as the drivers for the Audiophile is better Audiophile IS a better choise no matter of how many more features DMX 6Fire has and no matter of what any music magazine said And the drivers for the Audiophile is infact very stable!
Can someone suggest a multi i/o (more than 1 stereo ins outs) soundcard, the RME one looks like it has good features, has anyone used one with Renoise?
BTW are ASIO drivers on Ver. 2 now, or is 3 out yet?
cydonia, twilek already said his impressions about these soundcards and ReNoise on this thread!!
seems like this is the best soundcards line when it comes to quality/cost ratio.
And indeed I’m considering the idea of swtiching from my old Terratec EWX24/96 to an m-Audio Delta… only that I hate to waste still working things
of course, if you will have problems with the suggested soundcard, you can refer to twilek for blaming, complainings, terrorists attacks and money refunding in general
The cards use almost the same drivers as the Audiophile (that I am using) and thouse works very well together with Renoise. I do not know if Renoise currently support multiple outputs though so I can not answer that. Renoise doesn’t support recording today so you currently do not have any use of your audio-cards inputs though (no matter of wich card you are using), but recording is planned so someday that will probably change.
