I am currently using a split ergonomic keyboard, and holding down shift while trying to input FX commands is not super easy on my strange layout.
Is there a setting to make it so that while the cursor is on the FX column, it behaves like if shift was held down and keeps moving horizontally? If not a setting, a plugin or a tool maybe?

You could set the line jump to zero (Ctrl+0 - works for all numbers from 0 to 9, i wish it worked up to hex F, but it doesnt), then you can enter bit by bit using arrow keys? Im not savvy with, nor do i use many, tools, so one may exist that im unaware of.
The above solution is likely the best.
I don’t believe you could do this with a tool unfortuately, there aren’t api methods to set the cursor to sub-columns, only to read it .
