title goes here

okay, so when you use [img][/img] discourse automatically uploads the image AND doesn’t give you a nice viewer, but if you do ![title goes here but doesn't seem to be used](upload://y0Fha1t0pXmp3wtXzBYEpmgjv2D.jpeg) you get the above.

Jesse, nice photos! I think a gallery view with thumbnails might be a nice thing to have, especially as you make more. And/or an automatic slideshow maybe?

hmmm… that should be an automatic slideshow. What browser are you using?

this is a link to my gallery page. Each button links to a gallery of thumbnails.

(Maybe I should rethink my layout?)

Oh, I didn’t even realize it’s a slideshow because I just started clicking through the images, sorry ^^

I think the layout is fine, only thing I can think of would be a link on each collection, to go back to the collection page.

I used to have such a link on each collection page… must have removed it. I’ll add that back in.

Maybe we could have a custom command, just to link to images without uploading them? I would love to post more photos but I hate spamming the Renoise servers with giant files

The old image tags [img] still work for posting external pics.

You can use Markdown to link to external images, here is an example:

Edit: Seems like there is a mechanism which fetches external linked images. “system” has edited my post and changed the links to the fetched images.

I initially thought that too, but as Sebastian said, it changes shortly after initially posting.

Test:

yep, 5 minutes later, system edits the post. Oh well, I guess it’s nice for making old threads not look like a ghost town of broken images… but it’s confusing. Remember when forums had actual documentation for users, mods, and admins? Those were the days
