When you disable the key-pitch toggle in the keyzone settings and play sample columnenabled phrase in different notes, then renoise still pitch the sample. Is this a bug or a plannedbehavior?

Ouch, I think you’re right. Sample columns seem to negate the VEL>PITCH toggle…
As a workaround you can add the kick to a separate mod. chain, and insert a key-tracking device.
For example, MIN set to 5 and MAX set to 3 results in a two-octave range where the kick is fixed…
OK thank for your tip, I will try this. I currently use phrases without sample column with different sample key zones for kick and bass. Works, too.
