Show Me Your Home Studios

Hi All,

Here are a few older photos of my studio. Its been updated quite a bit over the years with some modules, synths, controllers and stuff off screen. Anyways enjoy :drummer:

Best Regards,

Dezacrator: your monitor is how much "? looks like a bliss for me, I hate a 2 mon setup.
and you just refused to gat rid of the virus b? you got the c so why? (iā€™m just picky)

Fixed

The black virus is a ā€™ ti ā€™ ( blue screen and plexiglas cover whereas c = red screen )

Hi td6d,

Actually its.

HOST:

CONSOLE:

RENOISE REWIRED:

With Renoise as a flip rewied screeen behind Sonar (as you can see in the Synth rack) :walkman:

I use renoise all the time and have it loaded behind sonar to co-sequence with Sonar X1 for more precise sequencing. I do sometimes use Reason as a Virtual Rack of sounds but its not usually active.

The 42 inch monitor is a bliss! Think it ran about $800.00 US but Im sure you can get cheaper nowadays.

Aslo you are correct. Its a Virus TI now(got rid of the Virus B ) as you can see Virus Control in Sonar x1 with renoise rewired.)

Best,

ok i doubted that (got a polar myself) but how much is the fishā€¦ehm inch

(already answered.

Hi Dr Drips,

I remember you from awhile ago (and your Themes in Renoise. we both have our themes still as Renoise defaults.) :)

You ever get the Polar to play nicely with Renoise?

ā€œcorrect. it is, in fact, a mousepadā€

True, but, also could be considered a pipepad?

Best,

Hehe no worries man, I was just joking around. I even think I once oploaded a pic here with Live running on it

:yeah: Been a tracker guy since soundtrack 1.0 on the amiga back in 1994.

Trackers have always been apart of the creation, just cant beat the amount of detail you can put into a song. Renoise has really steped it up over the years. Tracker on steroids. :drummer:

Itā€™s the bible.

Alsoā€¦ about that super clean studio:

nice.

Thank you. Seen your videos up on youtube with the launchpad. Great stuff mate :yeah:

Best,

If you look the B and the C are in exactly the same rack spare, just to the right of the mixer, the photo with the C is lower resolution. My guess is he did and not all photos were taken at the same time :P

Hi kazakore,

Correct! The bottom shot was taken sometime back in 2001 I think (around when I first bought Renoise 1.0 whatever date that was). Since they Iā€™ve bought quite a few synth modules, synths. a new A-PRO 800 controller with a akai LPK-25, upgrade the Virus B to a TI, and a bunch of hardware units not seen in any of these pictures. The top two pictures were from 2009. I need to take some new shots the studio looks better

So it is a TI? Didnā€™t think it was a C as the layout differed slightly too much from the B but couldnā€™t be bothered to search images to check. Did you wait until Renoise finally handled the TI properly or were you one of the ones struggling with the issues for quite some time? Mk1 or mk2?

I have a Virus B at home but have to admit it doesnā€™t get much useā€¦ :(

Hi Kazakore,

It is indeed a TI. Great board been very happy with it.

If you look back a page youā€™ll see virus control actually loaded in Sonar X1. It works flawless with 0 latency with Sonar. But like you said, it does not work properly at all with Renoise unfortunately at this time. Hope we can see added support later!

Best,

Thought the TI problems had been pretty much solved since 2.5, is that not correct? Or is it latency and general operations now OK but still no Virus Control integration?

Less chatting and more pics, people! ;)

The last time I checked it was very laggy and slow, but thats before Renoise 2.5 I think.
I now use it over normal midi. but I shall check this soon if I have less gigs and more time in the studio.

Still a problem Im afraid Dr. Drips. Latest VC OS and still incredibly laggy and unusable.

Speaking of the Virus TI. Here is what access is presenting at NAMM 2011.

Sneak preview of VVersion 4.5, Enjoy :)
