Signal generator track DSPs, turn renoise into a modular synth environment. Better than having a built-in synth, most of the components for a synth already exist. So all we really need are oscillators (not sample-based).
Couple of ideas copied from the thread…
Different waveforms (sine, saw, pulse, tri…) maybe 2 or 3 oscillators in the device?
Oscillator detune and sync
FM pair - combine any two sources with FM
Wavetable device
Oscillator device mixer to build multy osc synths (supersaws… uggh!)
ADSR modulation device
Signal generators would be scriptable of course
