Simple wavetable support, using loop regions in a single sample file

As the title says, if Renoise was supporting a relatively simple way of wavetables using loop marker progress and crossfading (naive imagination), this could be really fun, because a) it still is a basic approach, b) it would be quite visual, c) I could code an AHX chiptune importer  The phrase and script logic could be used to advance thru the wavetable, so in the end, this would be just about adding multiple loop points and/or moving those around, and of course proper crossfading, which could also improve regular sample replaying.

I really mean the most simple approach you could imagine, just like the AHX sound system tracker, or similar chiptune trackers. Which is of course compatible to wavetable wavs generated by that most common synth.

What do you think about this?

Check out the MetaSynth in Paketti it’s a wavetable(using creative crossfading) instrument generator. It uses samples of looped single cycle waveforms as well.

This nifty little thing was inspired by @slujr and his video on wavetables in Renoise. I think this is EXACTLY what you were looking for.

best to not link to a static build but to Releases Β· esaruoho/paketti Β· GitHub - that build you linked will be outdated in.. 3…2…1… ok its outdated now
