I do with the small updates. Didn’t think you had any choice with the very recent 5.x to 6.x jump, or the not to long ago jump to 5.x. Thought for these major releases you had to download the main installer, no?
Not that i know of, firefox checks for updates once in a while if you don’t do that through the about box and simply updates backstage. I think you can configure that somewhere but by default it is enabled that way. I had 3.x and have seen it making the jump to 5.x suddenly.
I have never done a manual reinstall since 3.0.
real issue found, solved, it was pinnacle tv center that blocks the keyboard in renoise, see other thread
