[Solved] Rewire Input cannot recognize reason as rewire slave

During previous weeks I’ve been using Renoise and Reason together (via Rewire) for some project and everything worked perfectly until a few days ago, when Renoise’ Rewire Input DSP didn’t recognize Reason as Rewire slave anymore. I tried re-installing both Reason and Renoise but to no avail. It’s a bit strange, and I don’t have any clues how this could suddenly happen/be solved.

Any help would be appreciated indeed.

edit: P.s. I’m using Windows 7 Ultimate x64, Renoise 2.8.1 x64, and Reason 4.0.1.

Maybe it’s a 32-bit / 64-bit issue?

If you’re using Renoise 64-bit, are you sure that you’ve also installed Reason 64-bit?

Reason support: Can I use both 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Reason 6/Essentials/Limited on my 64-bit Windows system?

Edit: Just saw that you mentioned Reason 4. I’m pretty sure that Reason 4 is only available in 32-bit, is that correct? If so, then you should simply use Renoise 32-bit as well.

My bad! I just found out what the problem was, I had installed Renoise 64bit instead of the 32bit version. Installed the 32bit version too and everything’s back to normal.

edit: Thanks dblue, it was exactly as you explained. Sorry I didn’t notice your post as it was probably posted while I was typing this one.
