Any help is greatly appreciated.
When I am using my standard computer keyboard and using the keys to play, I hear a stuttering sound occurring every 1 to 2 seconds. This occurs for all VSTi’s. When I use my m-audio keyboard or when I playback the song or when I render it, it sounds great, no stuttering.
I have switched from Directsound to ASIO and both stutter, no difference. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help.

Sounds like a problem with the keyrepeat rate and delay of your keyboard (keyboard properties).
Or the system responsiveness regarding keyboard input…
If your external devices make it work out alright, it is most likely not a problem cpu-wise or other systemwise.

Yep, thats definitely what it is. I’ve been playing with the rate and delay settings and I can get the stutter to lengthen or shorten depending on where I set it. This never happen on my old motherboard, guess my new one just doesn’t like the keys to be mashed down for a while. That’s what I get for upgrading, huh?
